Session 301: Learn to Move, Move to Learn: Sensorimotor Play-Based Theme Activities
Join Jenny Clark, OTR/L, BCP and learn how to design sensorimotor theme-based lesson plans that you can implement immediately. This presentation explodes with creative and practical sensorimotor interventions that can be easily implemented in the classroom or clinic. You will be able to apply learning to practice, using strategies to target motor skills, language, social skills, learning, and behavior. This unique evidence-based treatment approach for children incorporates sensorimotor theme activities that facilitate development to enhance learning through play. Hands-on activities, including video and case studies with application for clinical practice, will enrich your learning.

Session 302: Sensory Success in Childhood Occupations for High Functioning ASD
This presentation will discuss sensory system dysfunction and how this impacts success in childhood occupations, such as sleeping, eating, hygiene, and playing, in children with High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (HFASD). Current research will be examined in order to determine effective, evidence-based interventions for children with HFASD. Participants will glean information for practical strategies addressing activities of daily living for HFASD. Sensory simulations will help participants understand the struggles children with HFASD experience. Case examples with video supports will enrich the learning experience.
